One page synopsis of critical issues: Child Care Needs Assessment Report
The Elk Valley Child Care Barriers and Opportunities Survey Final Report is completed and available to the public. The survey report reflects a similar crisis in child care and early childhood education as in the East Kootenay Region with added unique challenges of shift work and rotating work schedules for many individuals working in the region.
Please share this link with as many individuals as possible who may have an interest in child care issues in the East Kootenay region of BC.
The Action Plan/Phase 2 of the project is currently being developed based on the results of the survey and recommendations of the final report.
